When you arrive by lift to the top floor the place looks so fancy that you fear they are not going to let you in or that it's going to be very expensive. On the opposite you are welcomed by a really professional staff and you can start to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Hanoi eating delicious food at a ridiculously affordable price.

After touring Saigon and Danang we arrived at Hanoi's Elegance Diamond Hotel around lunch time. After checking in our room and receiving restaurant recommendations from the hotel staff, we did out usual Tripadvisor check only to find out that one of the top rated restaurants in Hanoi was located on the roof of our hotel. As a previous reviewer stated, great vies, great food and amazing service. Best fresh spring rolls we had in Vietnam. Set lunches were so good we returned that night for a late dinner and enjoyed the view of the city form the restaurant. The restaurant is small so be sure to make a reservation if possible. In our case, it was a bit late in the evening when we called the restaurant from our hotel room. They remembered us from lunch and said they would call our room, which they did 15 minutes later, when a table was available. Thanks for taking such good care of us.

We wanted to splurge for our last night in Vietnam and were not disappointed. The food was really delicious. There were 8 of us, so we had a lot of dishes and they were all great. the bamboo beef and Cha Ca were stand-outs. Service was very patient with our large party. The views are great. We booked for 6:30 and watched a lovely sunset over Hanoi. It is not cheap but not super expensive either. We had a lot of food plus an pricey bottle of wine and ended up paying US$25 per person. Crazy expensive vs Hanoi street food, but completely cheap vs a top USA or Europe restaurant, and the quality is definitely up there.
Note: definitely book in advance. The place is tiny and gets full.

Dined here in June early on a Thursday. Had no difficulty making a reservation. Was greeted warmly upon arrival and sat a spacious table with great views of Hoan Kiem lake.

Great food and drink selection. We had the Pho which was very tasty, spring rolls were excellent as well. The sea bass was fine, a little dry.

Overall we enjoyed the experience here. Will definitely return the next time we are in Hanoi.
